MADISON PUBLIC LIBRARY
11/20/2013
oliver & i recently went to explore our newly renovated public library in downtown madison, wi. we hadn't been there in over a year since moving to a different part of the city and frankly, there wasn't much to draw us due to the condition of the building interior and lack of interest.
can i formally apologize to this dear place? is it possible to offer an olive branch to a building?
well, if occupying it with myself, my thoughts, and cup of coffee is a place to start, then you can expect to see me around more often. i might have to become a morning person in order to claim a window seat though. apparently everyone else in the city is apologizing too.
with not only a revitalized interior, the new madison public library offers a fresh selection of events and courses centered around the arts, media, and education. i could write a 25 page paper on it, but you'll never get the full effect without paying a visit yourself. bonus tip: guys, take your woman on a coffee date here and explore. you're welcome.

ReplyDeleteWill do!
DeleteI am so so glad you posted these! I helped the library recycle old materials before demolition through my work at Madison Environmental Group. I was so disappointed that I wouldn't be able to see its reopening. I loved the point of view in your photos :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome to hear! I'm happy you enjoyed them :)
